/*Snippet:*/ /With our original review of the Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans complete, we came away not surprised but very impressed with what Noctua had done. We were curious to find out for ourselves how big of a difference there would be between Noctuas NF-F12 PWM fans and Cooler Masters Sickle Flows on a water cooled rig. Noctua was more than gracious, and sent us another three of their NF-F12 PWM controlled fans for our little experiment./

CONTENT: Noctua are back at Vortez with their new NF-F12 PWM fan. The cooling gurus from Austria are a favourite here and tend not to disappoint when it comes to high end cooling and airflow solutions. Hopefully this new focussed flow fan will be no different. The design aims to directly flow air over heatsinks and radiators meaning greater performance at lower RPMs compared to identically sized but regular designs.

/*Snippet:*/ Noctua is a very well-known company that produces some top notch fans, with some very impressive cooling capabilities at near silent decibels, compared to other fans on the market. The NF-F12 is Noctuas first venture into a PWM fan, not because they never saw a need for one, but simply because they wanted to do it right and on their own terms. Noctuas NF-F12 implements a new PWM IC with SCD (Smooth Communication Drive). The NE-FD1 PWM IC basically gives smoother torque impulses giving you a quieter fan at lower speeds. The NF-F12 also runs at a mere 0.6w @ 0.05 amps, making it a very power efficient fan for those who would like to go green.
