Many people have defaulted to their digital point and shoot camera when they want to capture a short video. While this is certainly acceptable, you’re never going to get the same level of video quality if you don’t have a dedicated camcorder. While there may not be much competition on the market, Flip Video should definitely be one of your first stores to check out. The MinoHD we have today is a winner for video bloggers or those looking to capture a moment that suddenly pops up. It has an incredibly slim profile and the 720p resolution gives you HD quality videos ready to upload on your favourite file sharing site.

There are some small issues I feel Flip Video could improve on but nothing that would affect video quality. The f/2.8 lens is amazingly fast and works wonders day or night. The AF seems flawless and is just as fast as I could move the camera around. Where there is room for improvement is just making it not so easy to turn on or off the MinoHD and giving the end user the ability to add memory. Overall, I would be happy to recommend the MinoHD to anyone looking for a slim no-fuss camcorder.
