This test was only conducted with two drives in use. You would expect performance to suffer slightly from mirroring but the Reader and Re-Reader tests show a slight increase in performance. The difference is less than 1MB/s on average which really surprises me. The close performance is attributed to the Valkyrie being a dedicated NAS with little additional overhead taxing the performance.
Similarly, the average Writer and Re-Writer results are similar to what we saw in the Reader and Re-Reader tests.
