RAID 1 mirrors two hard drives so each stores the same information. If one drive fails, the second drive will still have your data. The performance will be impacted because of the overhead required to mirror the information but the damage is very limited thanks in part to the powerful components making up the DS210+. The 1.06GHz Freescale Processor manages the load very well and ensures maximum speed is achieved.
Once again we see the range of speeds to be similar to that of JBOD. The read results range from 50MB/s to 70MB/s and the write results range from 50MB/s to 110MB/s. It’s quite hard to compare the performance of each RAID configuration in the past 12 graphs so let’s move onto 64kb Transfer Size charts to summarize.
